 The new Lithium battery is fully compatible with all Elinchrom Quadra packs, both original and the newer RX models. However, some early model Quadra heads may need a small modification to function correctly with the new lithium battery. How to tell if your head needs modifying (only works with 'A' heads, please call for 'S' head info.) 1. Ensure the head is unplugged from the pack and the cable removed. 2. Carefully remove the flashtube by pulling it away from the head, protect it from the moisture on your fingers by using a plain paper towel or tissue. 3. Look into the smaller of the two holes where the tube legs were. 4. If you see ‘Elinchrom50.0044.01’ printed on the circuit board, your head WILL need modifying. The text is above the metal socket that the flashtube plugs into. You may need a torch to illuminate inside the head.
