Skill level - intermediate

This image was shot as part of hair portfolio for a salon, the lighting was an exercise in simplicity itself as the whole image was accomplished by using just one light

The model was simply positioned in front of a 6ft Octa fitted with an Elinchrom 600RX, the Octa then became the back ground illumination to provide a pure white

The light spilling past our model was then redirected back onto her hair by a using a traditional Triflector (only available from TFC)
 
I used the silver sides of the Triflector panels to enable greater reflectance, and to exploit a crisper, higher contrast quality of light

Shot on a Canon 1Ds with an EF28-70mm 2.8L lens set to 70mm

The exposure was f11 and 1/125th of a second
