The Secrets of Dirt Bike Magazine Photography Revealed
Image ©Adam Duckworth
Friday September 5 2008, Mallory Park, Leicestershire, price £199.

Build a portfolio of editorial-quality shots thanks to expert tuition, fantastic equipment and unique access to some of the world’s best riders on the British Grand Prix circuit.

Taking hundreds of photographs at motorsport events isn't the way to build up a porfolio of unique, dynamic shots that are good enough to impress editors and go in magazines. To get shots like these requires not only great technique and investment in kit like off-camera flash, but - crucially - access. Access to great bikes, access to private facilities where you can controll the action, and access to world class riders who perform just for you. That's been the area where magazine photographers have a huge advantage, until now.

Adam Duckworth, a specialist magazine photographer who's clients include Motor Cycle News, Dirt Bike Rider, Moto-X, Moto, Motocross Action, Bike and Ride magazines, along with The Flash Centre, Canon, Bogen, Manfrotto and Gitzo are to offer a unique one-day workshop to help you take your photos to a new level.

A maximum of 32 delegates will get inspiration and tuition in not only the inside secrets of how to get your work published but also on how to take amazing portraits and statics of riders and thier bikes using the latest off-camera flash techniques.

Then on to action where some of the worlds best riders will perform for your camera in controlled but spectacular action. In four groups of a maximum of eight photographers, pupils will get expert tuition and the chance to take some once-in-a-lifetime shots that could kickstart their career in contributing to magazines. Or simply fantastic pictures for their porfolio from this unique opportunity.

The venue is the internationally famous Mallory Park race circuit, easily accessible off the M1 and M69 motorwars near Leicester.

The Full Day of action includes:
  • Use of the latest Elinchrom Ranger battery flash plus tuition in how to use it from professionals.
  • Classroom facilities in the prestigious Hialwood Suite at Mallory Park.
  • Access to some of the latest Canon Cameras, lenses and printers plus top kit from Manfrotto and Bogen.
  • Tuition and guidance from 2007 Commercial Photographer of the Year, Adam Duckworth LBIPP.
