My journey into food photography began when I left college with a love of still life, I loved the technical aspects and the control of it all. My early commissions involved blowing things up, starting fires and freezing items in ice. It was a feeling of controlled chaos. From there I started assisting food photographers and found myself loving the combination of control and realism involved.

These images represent girls who dare to dream. All of the featured performers are amateurs. Tiger Tone as a studio, encourages novices to walk through their doors and try something new. Hoop, Silk and Pole Dancing require core strength, no fear and a will to be different. It's not your conventional exercise class. But it's the girls willingness to try something unique and to express themselves that we wanted to capture. I've always thrived on showcasing those who dare to be different, who step outside the norm and who seek to challenge themselves to reach new ground.

The contrast control of lighting plays a vital role in the success of your photography. And when it comes to controlling ambient light, there is nothing more convenient and effective than a reflector, which bounces back the available light onto the subject, thereby controlling the shadows and highlights and therefore the contrast in lighting.

London based Fashion Photographer Holly McGlynn is a regular at TFC London Rental.
We often see her busy collecting rental kit for her fashion and portrait shoots. Originally from Dublin , Holly is now based in London and has an MA in photography from Goldsmith's she was shortlisted for Irish Fashion Photographer of the Year 2014 and 2015. Plus won a gold medal in the Prix de la Photographie Paris 2015. She has a true passion for photography and capture fantasic fashion & portrait work.
We thought it was high time so see where our kit goes when Holly leaves TFC London and to find out what a day in the Life of Photographer Holly McGlynn is really all about!..
